Does Icons accept photos sent via email?

Yes. All pictures should be in digital form, preferably in .jpg format scanned in 72 dpi. An easy way to accomplish this is to take them to a copy centre or photography store that has a picture scanner. They will put your pictures on disk and you can email them to us.

How do I send Icons my pictures?

You should send at least one (01) clear head shot and one (01) clear body shot. Your head shot should clearly show your entire face, and your body shot should give us a good idea of your build and body type.

Does Icons hold open calls?

Yes. Both Icons Johannesburg and Icons Cape Town hold open calls.

What do I bring to an open call?

Bring any pictures you may have.

Do I need to have professional pictures taken to be considered by Icons?

Absolutely not. The pictures you send do not need to be taken by a professional photographer.

What other information about me does Icons need?

Remember to always include your basic measurements with your photos. If you are female your measurements must include your age, height, bust, waist, hips, hair colour and eye colour. If you are male your measurements must include your height, chest, waist, inseam, hair colour and eye colour.

Do I need to wear make up in my pictures?

No. In fact, you should not wear any make up in your pictures.

Do I need to send a portfolio?

No. You do not need to send a portfolio yet. If Icons agrees to represent you, we will work closely with you to build your portfolio.

How tall do I need to be?

We will only consider females who are a minimum of 1.75m and males who are a minimum of 1.8m.

What ages and types of models does Icons represent?

Icons is a model management agency representing professional fashion models. We specialize in the representation of young adults ranging in age from mid teens to late twenties. Please note that some of our more experienced models are in their early thirties.

Does Icons represent ethnic models?

Yes, Icons represents all ethnicities.

How will I know if Icons is interested in me?

If an agent at Icons is interested in you, we will most definitely contact you. Therefore, please remember to include your contact information including your email address, phone number or address.
